This Privacy Notice describes the privacy practices of Monkeyapp.chat LLC (“Monkey”) and applies to all visitors of the Monkey website and users of the Monkey chat service (“you”).

After a Monkey chat ends, you or the other user may save chat text to Monkey’s servers (a “Saved Chatlog”), generating a unique URL. Saved Chatlogs may contain any personal information you shared during the chat, which you and the other user may disclose. Additionally, users may take screenshots or use third-party software to broadcast or record chats, so please exercise caution in sharing information with strangers.

Video Chat
Monkey’s video chat service uses P2P connections, making IP addresses visible between connected users without revealing them via Monkey’s interface. This is essential for P2P functionality; if you’re uncomfortable, opt for text chat instead.
Cookies
Monkey and its third-party providers use cookies, tokens, and similar technologies for essential chat functions:
- ID Cookies: Randomly assign an online identifier to your device for safety and security.
- Interest Cookies: Save chat preferences to connect you with users sharing similar interests. Matching interests are disclosed at chat initiation, and Monkey only temporarily accesses this information for matching purposes.
- College Cookies: Save preferences in college mode and reveal your college domain name to others using college mode.
- Language Cookies: Enable matching based on language preferences.
- Auto-reroll Cookie: Allows saving auto-reroll preferences in video chat.

Monkey does not sell your information for monetary gain. While Monkey previously embedded social media buttons, these may have been considered “sales” under CCPA. Monkey has removed these plugins.

You have the right to request details about Monkey’s data collection practices over the last 12 months. Following a verifiable request, Monkey will disclose the following:
